Project Overview
A web studio for analog printers: register gear, build repeatable darkrooms and run guided printing sessions.
What We Built
A studio app that instruments the whole bench. Printers register their real gear, assemble it into reusable "darkrooms", then run a guided nine-step session that logs every exposure as it happens. The render engine processes the printer’s own uploaded photograph into a black-and-white print rather than fabricating an image, so each session ends with a true digital render plus the full metadata behind it.
The Challenge We Solved
Darkroom printing is a repeatable craft recorded on paper. Printers keep gear, chemistry and exposure settings in notebooks, so a print that came out right is hard to reproduce weeks later — and there is no digital record of what was actually done.
