Project Overview
Worth the drive, or not, in one number: every nearby station priced as a full tank of your car, with points paid on every gallon.
What We Built
A full end-to-end engagement, from the specification through the staged design run and build to the team's own end-to-end verification. The product: map pins show the tank price for your car at each station, across 1,652 mapped Houston stations. You pay as usual — Tankwise stays out of the payment — then snap the receipt; the app reads gallons, price and total off the slip, logs the fill and your MPG, and pays 10 points a gallon, each worth a cent, with streak bonuses and a ledger anyone can read and nobody can edit. The landing page takes early-access signups; it launches in Houston first, on iPhone and Android.
The Challenge We Solved
A price sign tells you a station is a few cents cheaper. It does not tell you whether the drive is worth it for your car. The client wanted every station reduced to one number — what a full tank costs there, and what that saves against the one on your corner — and a rewards scheme that never puts the app between the driver and the pump.
