Project Overview
A resale marketplace where one photo becomes a priced listing and escrow holds the buyer's money until delivery.
What We Built
An Expo app for iOS and Android and a Next.js web marketplace share one Supabase backend, with row-level security on every table. Snap-to-sell reads the seller's photos and drafts the title, brand, size, condition and a suggested price. Payments run on Stripe Connect with an escrow hold, release and refunds handled in Supabase Edge Functions, so no secret key ever sits in the app; the buyer has 72 hours to confirm delivery before the payment releases. The same login opens an operator console with a moderation queue, disputes, payouts and an audit log.
The Challenge We Solved
Selling what a child has outgrown is slow work: describe it, guess a price, haggle in a message thread, then trust a stranger with the payment. The client wanted a listing to cost one photo, and wanted the money to be safe for both sides without anyone having to negotiate it.
